How to care for menstrual swimwear?
1. Immediately after use - Rinse the swimsuit with cold water as soon as possible to
remove blood and prevent stains. Don't use hot water as it may reduce the absorbency of the swimsuit by
clotting the blood.
2. Washing - Wash the swimsuit either by hand with mild soap or in a washing machine
on a gentle program at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use mild detergents and avoid fabric softeners or
bleaches which could damage the absorbent layer and reduce their functionality.
3. Drying - Do not wring the swimwear aggressively, rather squeeze it gently and allow
it to air dry freely. Do not put them in the dryer or in direct sunlight, as high temperatures can damage
the waterproof layer and elastic fibers.
How long do menstrual swimsuits last?
With proper care, menstrual swimwear can last for several seasons, but of course, it depends on the frequency
of use. The method of washing, drying and the level of wear and tear on the material all affect the lifespan.
Once you notice a decrease in absorbency or damage to the impermeable layer, it's time for a replacement.
